man age is thrice as old as his son is . After 14 years the man's age will be twice as oldas his son ,then present age of the son must be ?

•At present

=>Let the son's age be x years.

=>Thus,age of his father(the man)=3x years

14 years later:-

=>Son's age= x+14 years

=>His father's age(the man)=3x+14 years

Now,As Per Question:-

=>3x+14=2(x+14)

=>3x+14=2x+28

=>3x-2x=28-14

=>x=14

Thus,present age of the son is 14 years and hence the correct option is (2).
