Answer:

Aasha Hai ki Yah Answer Aapki Help Karega .

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Speed of man from house to office = 3 km/hr.

Speed of man from office to house = 2 km/hr.

Formula Used:

If an object covers a certain distance at x km/hr and an equal distance at y km/hr. the average speed of the whole journey = 2xy/(x + y) km/hr

Calculation:

Average speed = (2 × 3 × 2)/(2 + 3) = 12/5 km/hr.

Total time taken = 5 hr.

Distance travelled = (12/5) × 5 = 12 km

∴ Distance between his house and office = 12/2 = 6 km

Alternate Method

Ratio of speed = 3 : 2

⇒ Ratio of time taken = 2 : 3

Since, total time taken is 5 hours, he has taken 2 hours to travel to his office and 3 hours to come back.

∴ Distance between his house and office = 2 × 3 = 6 km.
