Let the man started from the origin of the 3 dimensional coordinate frame.

Coordinates (Initial)=(0,0,0)

Coordinates (Final)=(4,12,3)

Displacement=

 \sqrt{ {(4 - 0)}^{2}  +  {(12 - 0)}^{2}  +  {(3 - 0) }^{2}  }

Displacement=√(16+144+9)

=√169

=13 m
