2. Because of global warming and climate change.
3. Because of water scarcity and changes in rainfall pattern.
4. Because people kill animals and trees for economic benefit.
5. Because of poaching.
6. Because forests are cut down continuosly for many purposes.

Anonymous: Forests require water. They cannot be irrigated like fields, they depend only upon rain. Changes in rainfall pattern in an area and also excessively more or less rainfall causes destruction to forests and life in it.

(i) There are many stakeholders of forest. Management of forest and wildlife has to take into account the interests of all these stakeholders which become a challenging task.

(ii) Industries would consider the forest as merely a source of raw material for its factories and huge interest groups lobby the government for access to these raw materials at artificially low manage the forest and wildlife resource.
