Managers are responsible for taking suggestions or solutions, and following them up to see if they are feasible actual solutions to problems. Even if a suggestion or solution is not used, employees should know that their contribution was appreciated. An effective quality management system will keep the communication lines open between the employee and management. When the quality management system is being implemented, it's important that the employees are involved and not just on the sidelines watching, like at football games. Management should assure that they are involved from the start. They need to kept abreast of what's going on. Doing it this way will make them feel that they are definitely part of this important process.
