Managers can be classified into 3 categories -

Top level management.

It includes top bosses such as CEO, board of directors, president etc. They are responsible for all the activities of an organisation.

Middle level management

Branch managers, General managers and departmental managers fall in this category.

They are mainly responsible for executing the plans of top level managers and guiding the low level managers in their routine work.

Low level management

Supervisors, foreman and department heads are low level managers.
