18% is the rate of GST

%change = (change/original) x 100

Change = 265.50-225 (₹150+₹75)

=40.5

So,

%change= (40.5/ 225)x100

= 4050/225

=18%

Answer:

Required parentage of GST is 18%.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,Manan and Fruco ordered 2 cups of coffee for ₹75.

So,cost of 2 cup of coffee is 75 rupees.

And they ordered a plate of cheese tost for ₹150.

So,cost of 1 plate of cheese tost for 150 rupees.

Therefore total cost of the food = (75 + 150) = 225 \: rupees

It is also given that bill including GST came to ₹265.50.

So amount of GST = Bill amount - actual food cost

 = 265.50 - 225 \\ = 40.50 \: rupees

Now their food amount means 225 rupees is 100%

So by Unitary method, 1 rupee is \frac{100}{225} \%

and 40.50 rupees is

 \frac{100}{225} \times 40.50 \\ = 18\%

Required parentage of GST is 18%.
