Subject :- Meaning of Modern Swaraj as a student and Citizen

I am Zeenat. I am a student of 10th class, BPSKV School, I am writing this letter to express my views about the meaning of swaraj was given by Gandhiji it means 'self rule'. Adopting swaraj means implementing a system where the real power directly resides in the hands of people. I find it true in some cases but not in others. I understood the meaning of Gandhiji's Swaraj unitiallly was not able to apply it. the politicians come to us asking vote for them but after winning the election they don't care, what is happening in that area. So I was thinking where is Swaraj? but after reading further explanation about swaraj, I came to know, it's about empowering self, to make the right decisions, to make myself capable.So I understood Swaraj means when we learn to rule ourselves.

please guide me if you found any mistake in my understanding. please help me to understand how to make Swaraj more meaningful and how can I be a leader like you.
