Answer:

Mendeleev arranged elements according to their increasing atomic masses and gave then unique atomic numbers. He told that Atomic masses can be the same, but atomic numbers can never be the same. And he arranged his periodic table into group and periods in a clear tabular form. He also predicted the properties for undiscovered elements (such as eka-aluminium) and left spaces for them in periodic table. Later on, Mendeleev's periodic table was modified and know as the modern periodic table. Thus, Mendeleev's periodic table led to the foundation of the modern periodic table.
