MnO2 + 4HCl → MnCl2 + Cl2 + 2H2O
(i) Reducing agent- HCl
Since it reduces MnO2 by taking oxygen atoms from it.
(ii) Oxidising agent- MnO2
Since it oxidises HCl to Cl2 which loses the hydrogen atom.
