(d) Sparks fly off tangentially when knife is
touches the rotating grinding wheel. Name the
phenomenon invoked
Answers
Answer:
a. The man jumping out from moving train possesses the inertia of motion. As the man lands on the ground, feet come to rest immediately while upper part of body continue to move due to inertia of motion. Hence, the person falls forward.
b. Property is any item that a person or a business has legal title over. Property can be tangible items, such as houses, cars, or appliances, or it can refer to intangible items that carry the promise of future worth, such as stock and bond certificates.
c. Inertia is a property or tendency of every object to resist any change in its state of rest or of uniform Force and Laws of Motion.
d. The sparks produced during sharpening of a knife against a grinding wheel - they leave tangentially at the rim of the wheel. It can be attributed to the phenomenon of Inertia - of 1st law of motion of Newton. When sharpening is done, very tiny pieces on the surface of the grinding wheel get broken from the wheel.
