Rs.268 is the profit earned by the Manish

Given:

Manish bought 25kg of rice at Rs.32 per kg, 32 \times 25=R s .800

Manish bought 15kg of rice at Rs.36 per kg, 36 \times 15=R s .540

Total selling price of rice after mixing = Rs.40.20 perkg

To find:

Profit got by Manish by mixing two varieties = ?

Solution:

Cost of 25 kg of rice where one kg is 32 rupees = Rs.800

Cost of 15 kg of rice where one kg is 36 rupees = Rs.540

Total quantity of rice = 25 + 15 = 40

Total cost price of 40 kg = 800 + 540= Rs.1340

Total selling price of rice = 40.2 \times 40=R s .1608

Profit = selling price – cost price

Profit = 1608 – 1340 = Rs.268

Rs.268 is the profit earned by the Manish after mixing the two varieties of the rice.
