3 feet, as his distance from the mirror is 3 feet and we know that image formed in a plane mirror is as behind in the mirror as the object is in front of it

According to law of Reflection the distance of an object from a plain mirror is equal to the distance of image from mirror
So ans is 3feet ( distance of object is same as image)
Now tell more about this type question
If we have find the distance of Manish from his image then ans is
6feet
First distance of Manish=5feet
so, it's image distance is also= 5feet
On changing his position
Manish move 2feet towards plane mirror
Distance of Manish from plane mirror=5-2=3ft
so, distance of Manish image from mirror= 3 ft
=distance of Manish from plane mirror + distance of Manish image from plane mirror
= 3feet+3feet
=(3+3)feet
=6feet
HENCE
distance of image from mirror= 3 feet
Distance of Manish from his image is 6 feet
