Manish left a wooden plank on the grass in the garden by mistake what will happen to the grass beneath the wooden plank?

Grass will die. Because it won't be getting required oxygen and sunlight for respiration and photosynthesis.

Plants require air, water and sunlight for carrying out different biosynthetic processes such as photosynthesis,etc.

In this case, as the wooden plank is on top of the grass covering it, it is deprived of basic sunlight and air( carbon dioxide present in air required for photosynthesis during daytime and oxygen required at night for respiration), hence, it is unable to make food and ultimately wilts.

With prolonged time it may also die.
