There is a error in your question, product of their age is 22 not 220.

Let Manish age be x.

therefore his mother's age will be 5x+1

.....by the given condition

According to the condition given

(x - 4)(5x + 1 - 4) = 22

...by the given condition

(x - 4)(5x  - 3) = 22 \\  = 5 {x}^{2}  - 3x - 20x + 12 = 22 \\  = 5 {x}^{2}  - 23x + 12 - 22 = 0 \\  = 5 {x}^{2}  - 23x - 10 = 0 \\  = 5 {x}^{2}  - 25x + 2x - 10 = 0 \\  = 5x(x - 5) + 2(x - 5) = 0 \\  = (5x + 2)(x - 5) = 0 \\

therefore, here

5x  + 2 = 0 \:  \: or \:  \: x - 5 = 0 \\ x =  -  \frac{2}{5}  \:  \: or \:  \: x = 5

age cannot be negetive.

Therefore Mainsh's age is 5yrs.

And his mother's age is 5x+1= 5× 5 + 1= 25+1 =26
