Let the number of oranges be 4x n apples be 6x n peach be 9x.

ACCORDING TO QUESTION.....

6x=9x-27
3x=27
x=9

NO. OF ORANGES SOLD BY MANISH= 4x
= 4*9 = 36

Let the actual number of oranges, apples and peaches as sold by Manish be 4x, 6x and 9x.

We have considered the above numbers only because the ratio given to us is 4 : 6 : 9 .

If we read the question carefully, then we can easily derive and create the following equation,

6x = 9x - 27
9x - 6x = 27
3x = 27
x = 27 / 3
x = 9

Hence,

The actual number of oranges that Manish sold = 4x = 4 * 9 = 36
