Side of the square = m

Area of a square = side × side = m × m = m^2

Length of the rectangle = m

Breadth of the rectangle = m

Area of the rectangle = Length × Breadth = m × m = m^2

The total area of both the plots = m^2 + m^2 = 2m^2

Answer:

sɪᴅᴇ ᴏғ ᴛʜᴇ sǫᴜᴀʀᴇ = ᴍ

ᴀʀᴇᴀ ᴏғ ᴀ sǫᴜᴀʀᴇ = sɪᴅᴇ × sɪᴅᴇ = ᴍ × ᴍ = ᴍ^2

ʟᴇɴɢᴛʜ ᴏғ ᴛʜᴇ ʀᴇᴄᴛᴀɴɢʟᴇ = ᴍ

ʙʀᴇᴀᴅᴛʜ ᴏғ ᴛʜᴇ ʀᴇᴄᴛᴀɴɢʟᴇ = ᴍ

ᴀʀᴇᴀ ᴏғ ᴛʜᴇ ʀᴇᴄᴛᴀɴɢʟᴇ = ʟᴇɴɢᴛʜ × ʙʀᴇᴀᴅᴛʜ = ᴍ × ᴍ = ᴍ^2

ᴛʜᴇ ᴛᴏᴛᴀʟ ᴀʀᴇᴀ ᴏғ ʙᴏᴛʜ ᴛʜᴇ ᴘʟᴏᴛs = ᴍ^2 + ᴍ^2 = 2ᴍ^2
