It has given that, Manisha is able to 40% more work than Neetu in the same time. Manisha can do certain price of work in 60 days

To find : how many days will both do the work together.

solution : using formula, M₁W₁ = M₂W₂

M₁ × 100% = M₂ × (100 + 40)%

⇒M₁/M₂ = 7/5

therefore the ratio of efficiency of Manisha and Neetu is 7 : 5.

if Manisha takes 60 days to complete the work in 60 days

then, Neetu completes the work in 60 × 7/5 days = 84 days

now both will work together in = xy/(x + y) days

here x = 60 days , y = 84 days

= (60 × 84)/(60 + 84) days

= 35 days

Therefore both will do the same work together in 35 days.
