Answer:

Roshini walks more than Manisha.

Difference = 1560m

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of the rectangular park,

A = 2(l+b) = 2(220+170) = 2(390) = 780m

Roshini walk along,

6(780) = 4680m

Manisha walk along,

4(780) = 3120m

difference = 4680-3120

= 1560m

Before, finding the answer. Let's find out how we can find the answer.

  • In this question, we are asked to find who walks more and by how much around parks.
  • So, to find that, we have to first find the Perimeter of the Rectangular Park and Square park.
  • Then, we must multiply the perimeter by the number of rounds.
  • And, at last, to find who walks more, we have to compare both the perimeters and to find by how much we have to subtract the Perimeters of both the Park's.

Given :

  • Length and Breadth = 220 m and 170 m
  • No of rounds by Manisha = 4
  • Side of Park = 180 m
  • No of rounds by Roshini = 6

To find :

  • who walks more and by how much

Solution :

Perimeter of Rectangular Field = (2 × l) + (2 × b)

                                                   = (2 × 220) + (2 × 170)

                                                   = 440 + 340

                                                   = 780 m

~No of rounds by Manisha = 780 × 4

                                          = 3120 m

Perimeter of Square field = 4 × s

                                          = 4 × 180

                                          = 720 m

~No of rounds by Roshini = 720 × 6

                                         = 4320 m

\sf \rightarrow Now,

  • Let's compare,

Roshini > Manisha

  • By how much?

By how much = 4320 - 3120

                       = 1200

Therefore, the Roshini walks more than Roshini by 1200 m.
