She sold 6 litres of milk to the Kanchan.

She sold 3 litres of milk to the Bhavna.

She sold 6 litres of milk to the hotel.

• Given data :

The total amount of milk is 15 litres.

She sold 2/5th of the milk to the Kanchan.

She sold 1/5th of the milk to the Bhavna.

She sold remaining milk to the hotel.

• At first we have to calculate the amount of milk that she sold to the Kanchan :

= Total milk amount × 2/3

= 15 × 2/5

= 6 litres (answer)

• Now, we have to calculate the amount of milk that she sold to the Bhavna :

= Total milk amount × 1/5

= 15 × 1/5

= 3 litres (answer)

• At last, we have to calculate the amount of milk that she sold to the hotel :

= Total milk amount - ( milk sold to the Kanchan + milk sold to the Bhavna)

= 15 - (6+3)

= 15-9

= 6 litres (answer)
