Manisha wants to buy lace to wrap her square handkerchief on all four sides. the length of one side of the handkerchief is 8 cm, how much lace should she buy? ​

Given :- The length of one side of the handkerchief is 8 cm .

To Find :- How much lace should she buy ?

Solution :-

we know that,

  • All sides of square are equal in length .
  • Perimeter of square = sum of all sides = 4 * side length .

so,

→ Length of one side of the handkerchief = 8 cm .

since all sides are equal in length , then,

→ Length of four side of the handkerchief = 8 * 4 = 32 cm .

therefore, we can conclude that manisha should buy 32 cm long lace.

  • Area of square = (side)²
  • Diagonal of square = √2 * side .
  • All 4 angles of a square are equal to 90° .
  • Both diagonals are equal in length .
