Answer:

Total number of pieces are 12.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Manju had a chocolate. She gave one- fourth of it to Raji, one-third to Sugatha  and one-sixth to Sheela. She ate the remaining part.

To find : How many pieces of  chocolate did each get?

Solution :

Let the complete chocolate Manju has be '1'.

She gave one- fourth of it to Raji i.e.

She gave one-third to Sugatha i.e.

She gave one-sixth to Sheela i.e.

First we take a common denominator of all three fraction i.e. 12.

So, Raji would have  of the chocolate bar.

Sugatha would have  of the chocolate bar.

Sheela would have  of the chocolate bar.

Manju ate the remaining,

Therefore, Total number of pieces are 12.
