Complete Question:

Manoj buys a certain no. Of apples he gives half of them to his sister and half of remaining apple to his brother now he is left only 6 apple how many apples he buy

Answer:

The number of apples bought by Manoj is 24

Solution:

Let "x" be the number of apples bought by Manoj

Given that,

He gives half of them to his sister

Therefore,

Part given to sister = \frac{x}{2}

Remaining =  x - \frac{x}{2}\\\\Remaining = \frac{x}{2}

He gave half of remaining apple to his brother

Which means,

Part given to brother = \frac{x}{2} \times \frac{1}{2} = \frac{x}{4}

Remaining = \frac{x}{2} - \frac{x}{4}\\\\Remaining = \frac{x}{4}

he is left only 6 apple

Therefore,

\frac{x}{4} = 6

x = 24

Thus, number of apples bought by Manoj is 24
