Answer:

ducks =16, sheeps =10

Step-by-step explanation:

let the no. of ducks be x and no. sheeps be y

total no. of ducks and sheeps is 26, so

x+y = 26 (equation 1)

now their total legs are 72 , we know that ducks have 2 legs and sheeps have 4 legs , so

2x+4y=72

x+2y=36( equation 2)

(equation 2) - (equation 1 ) gives

y=10

using this in equation 1 gives

x=16
