He ran with the speed of 220 meter/min

Distance covered by Manpreet is equal to total distance to be covered to complete the race.

Thus, 2.7 + 0.5 + s*(2/3)hr = 12.

2/3 hour is given time in question.

To find the speed in minutes, it will be converted by multiplying with 60.

Hence, 2/3 hour is equal to 40 minutes.

3.2 +s*40 min = 12.

s*40 = 12-3.2.

s*40 = 8.8km or 8800m.

8.8 km is converted into meters to get the answer in meters per minute.

For conversion, 8.8 is multiplied with 1000, thus 8800 meter.

s= 8800/40.

s= 220 meter/min
