Manu has read that an ostrich is a bird. She knows that birds fly. But when she visited a zoo, she
saw that an ostrich could not fly, and she wanted to know why. How would you explain
this to Manu?​

☆Reason by birds can fly:

  1. they have pneumatic or hollow bones which make them light in weight...provide buoyancy in air.
  2. they have air sacs in their lungs for supplement proper respiration and helpful in flying.

ostrich has a heavy and complex body organization as compared to normal birds

and also they have large legs which also increase their force of gravity to downside

so all those reasons are sufficient to explain the inability of ostrich to fly.
