Manu placed a piece of copper in zinc sulphate solution . He did not observe any change occurring. Can you explain why ?

the reaction mentioned here is ----
Cu +ZnSO4 which will not be carried further..
the reason here is that..BECAUSE ZINC IS MORE REACTIVE THAN COPPER..
and we know that more reactive metal displaces less reactive meta and copper is less reactive...as a result it will remain as i

..but is we add zinz to copper sulphate solution..there will be displacement reaction...
that is
CuSO4 + Zn ----------> ZnSO4 +Cu
