Many animals move the ear flap in order to focus their hearing in a certain direction because of movement of mucus within the middle ear.
The process of ear movement to hear the sound is called as crackling. Since in humans, there are weak neurons compare to animals, therefore, we cannot move our ears.
In many animals, the movement of ear is very necessary as it directs sound through the ear canal to the eardrum and helps in the hearing process of the animal.
