Answer:

The rivers flowing in to the Arabian Sea rise from the Western Ghats are shorter and swift flowing. The rivers do not collect much silt and because of this, and their relatively faster water flow, they do not deposit a lot of sediments on the coast. The peninsular rivers, that flow east from the Western Ghats have to travel a long distance to reach the Bay of Bengal. Their flow is slower and the rivers carry a lot of sediments. These creates deltas like the ones at the mouths of the Cauvery, Krishna, Godavari.

Answer:

As the rivers flow through the steep slopes their velocity increases. So, there is very little erosion done by them. Due to the narrow width of the Konkan coast, the rivers cover a short distance and drain in the Arabian sea. Thus they do not form estuaries rather than deltas
