Exchange of gases and nutrients apart from wastes takes place, as the hemolymph volume is high and its circulation is slow. ... Thus in humans, like in all vertebrates, body cavity plays no role in circulation, as circulation is confined to the circulatory system comprising of heart, blood vessels and capillaries.
