many metals react with dilute acids to form a salt . non metals do not liberate hydrogen gas with a is. why?​

Answer:

the metals like Fe, Al, K, Na are very reactive metals and will liberate H2 gas. whereas metals like Copper, Silver , Gold and Platinum are least reactive metals and are placed at the bottom of the reactivity series will not react with acid to form H2 gas.

The metals like iron, aluminium are very reactive metals and will liberate hydrogen gas whereas metals like copper, gold, silver are least reactive and are placed at the bottom of the reactivity series and donot liberate hydrogen gas when reacting with acids
