Explanation:

Handicrafts used to be one of the most purchased items in the country. But, now the country's people who used to take handicraft as an occupation have lost their jobs, because handicrafts have almost gone out of business. Textile factories have taken textile handicrafts out of business. While, metal pots from factories have taken quick fame in the market, earthern/mud pots are not being bought in great numbers. I'm these ways handicrafts are going out of business, due to new and improved products.

In the contemporary world machine made products has completely replaced handicrafts. The handicrafts industry of India comes under the unorganized division of the village administration. This sector is an essential and necessary aspect of the village and cottage industries. As handicrafts are continuously been replaced by modern products it had badly affected the life of artisans because they lose their jobs or sometimes only employed seasonally due to which they became so much poor and also created the significant impact on the rural economy.
