Explanation:

While many Bedouins have abandoned their nomadic and tribal traditions for a modern urban lifestyle, many retain traditional Bedouin culture such as retaining the traditional ʿašāʾir clan structure, traditional music, poetry, dances (such as saas), and many other cultural practices and concepts.[citation needed] Urbanized Bedouins often organise cultural festivals, usually held several times a year, in which they gather with other Bedouins to partake in and learn about various Bedouin traditions—from poetry recitation and traditional sword dances to playing traditional instruments and even classes teaching traditional tent knitting. Traditions like camel riding and camping in the deserts are still popular leisure activities for urbanised Bedouins who live in close proximity to deserts or other wilderness areas.

Bedouins and Tuaregs have left their nomadic lifestyle and began to lead a settled life due to the following reasons

Step by step explanation

The Bedouin are the  tribes  the people who live in desert. They live in the Middle East, in desert areas. They adapted their conventional lifestyle to these highly arid  climatic conditions.

Tuaregs are the nomadic tribes they live across the Sahara Desert, including in the North African countries of Mali, Niger, Libya, Algeria and Chad. The Tuaregs are part of the Berber group of people, they are mostly muslims who live in these places.

Reasons for adapting modern lifestyle :

  • Bedouins, nomadic lifestyle means they don't stay in a place for a very  long time they move from one place to other in a single area.  they also move on because they try  avoid an environment from destroying its  own resources.
  • Their livelhood is based upon  the cattle for eg..They have herds of animals adapted to live in desert conditions,  camels, sheeps etc..
  • They stay in tents which are  built in such a way  which  allow air to circulate within them, keeping them cool. Animal fur is used to insulate them, keep the tent cool in the daytime and warmer in the nights.
  • Tuareg are the traders who are responsible for taking goods north from big cities these are  been spread all over the world. Because of the complexity of transportation and the limited space available in caravans, they usually transport  in luxury goods that took up little space and made a big profit.
  • Tuareg are also responsible for bringing slaves from West Africa north to be sold to Europeans and the Middle East. Some Tuareg lived in the communities they were trading with and worked as local merchants and leaders for their nomadic connections.
