So I agree because when the europeans colonized the whole continent they need to know about the place ,people climate etc .so they sent scientific scientists to explore the world with explorers and they fought with people valleys hills ect and gathered information from them .thats y making of mays by the colonial powers was a more powerful tool for exploitation than guns
