the main causes of poverty firsly is due to low education system of india. the overall literacy rate of india is low. other factors include improper health,lack of knowledge ,one's individual circumstances etc.

other reasons are corrupted leaders and officers . they are the biggest barrier in development against poverty as they don't invest money for the right purpose . instead they use it for thair own luxury henceby making the poor and weak suffer. however it is not the same everywhere.

in many areas the programmes are carried on actively and the poverty rate has decreased. the deline of poverty rate will lead to the rise in economic condition.
