A refers to the LOTHAL dockyard discovered in the southern region near the Sabarmati river in Gujarat. It was discovered in the year 1954 and the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) excavated the site from 13th February, 1955 to 19th May, 1960. Lothal is said to have had the world's earliest known dock, which was confirmed by the scientists from The National Institute of Oceanography who discovered marine fossils in a rectangular structure indicating that sea water once filled the structure. Lothal was a very important trading center in ancient times, connecting itself with the Western part of Asia and Africa via trade.

B refers to The Great Bath, in Mohenjo-Daro, in modern day Pakistan. The Great Bath is one of the most important structures of the Indus Valley Civilization. The Great Bath is known to be the oldest public water tank of the world. It was a huge water tank with large stairs on two of its sides. There was also a hole on one side in the tank, for draining out the water from within. The Great Bath was discovered in the year 1926.

C refers to Kalibangan, a Harappan site on the southern banks of Ghaggar-Hakka river, in Hanumangarh, in Rajasthan.  Luigi Pio Tessitori, an Italian Indologist was one of the first persons, who identified Kalibangan as a prehistoric site, and with the help of Archaeological Survey of India, Kalibangan was discovered as a Harappan site.

D refers Rupar, in the district of Rupnagar, in the Indian state of Punjab. Rupar is the first Harappan site of Independent India and in the 1998, an Archaelogical Musuem was opened for the people to witness the various remains of the archaelogical excavations from the Harappan period.

E refers to Harappa in the Punjab region of present-day Pakistan.The Indus valley civilization was known to have two major cities, one was Harappa and the other was Mohenjo-Daro. The earliest accounts of the ruins of Indus valley civilization was of a Charles Mason, from 1829.  Mason was the first person who discovered Harappa and almost a century later, in the year 1920, Harappa was first excavated by the Archaeological Survey of India.
