On 15th August, a program is organized by 12 students of a school. They have 3 bamboos, two red and one green. They form rows of 3 each and hold bamboos in such a way that the
bamboos lie between the rows and each bamboo is held by 6 students. If a student can take any place in the array, how many different arrangements are Possible?

  • if we see there are total 3 rows os each and every row has 6 students.
  • if a student can take any place in the array , therefore its between 2 students to change their respective position.
  • there are 6 students in each row , therefore

                        2 x 6 = 12

  • here we take only 2 students in teh place of 3 from each row is because if one hast to change then another student has to change its place but the 3rd one remains same , by that cause we use only 2.
  • Now there are 12 possibilities and there are total 3 rows  therefore,

               12 x 3

  Hence, there are 12 x 3 different arrangements ae posible.
