Talking about Maratha art, it can be said that it is a mixture of South and the Mughal art. Miniature paints became very popular in Deccan one can see the sculptors of the Maratha chieftains.

Significant achievements were made in the field of performance and in the crafts art.

Interaction of Marathas with Rajputs went a long way in transforming their culture by many notches. In the later part of the 18th century, the art was influenced by the Europeans.
