Consider he has x dollars .

He saves 10 % for taxi fare .So he is left with 0.9x dollars.

If we go by logic cost of 1 mango and 1 orange will remain constant.

So, cost of 1 mango =x/40.He took 20 mangoes costing 20* x/40 =x/2=0.5x

Hes left with 0.9x-0.5x=0.4x dollars.

The question is how many oranges can he buy with 0.4x dollars .If he can buy 1 orange for x/50 dollars ,he can surely buy 50/x*0.4x =20 oranges with 0.4x dollars he has.
