Ana Age = A
Maria Age = 2A - 1
after four years Ana Age = A + 4
after four years Maria Age = 2A -1 + 4 = 2A + 3
Maria will be 18 less than thrice Ana’s age.
=> 2A + 3 = 3(A + 4) - 18
=> 2A + 3 = 3A + 12 - 18
=> 9 = A
Ana Age = 9
Maria Age = 2(9) - 1 = 17
