  • 1st Maria walked 30m North.
  • Then she took right which means walked on the east 40m.
  • Then she took right which means  walked on the south 45m.
  • Then she took left which means  walked on the east 25m.
  • Then she took left which means  walked on the north 15m.
  • Total north distance covered=30+15=45m.
  • Total south distance covered=45m.
  • Hence net distance in north south direction is 0.
  • Total east distance covered=40+25=65m.
  • ∴She is 65m from the starting position.
