Marine water fishes drink more water than fresh water fishes because In fresh water, the inside of a fish's body has a higher concentration of salt than the external environment. So to regulate the pressure.... marine fishes drink much water. The osmotic pressure in marine fishes is less as compared to fresh water fishes. Therefore, to maintain an equilibrium, they drink much water.
