The five places that are referred to in the “epic Ramayana”:

1. Ayodhya - Ayodhya is the place which is known as the birthplace for Lord Ram.

2. Nepal (Janakpur) - This place is referred to as the ‘birthplace of wife and goddess Sita’.

3. Nasik (Panchwati) - ‘Panchavati’ was the place where “Rama built his home” along with his ‘wife Sita and brother Lakshman’ during their 14 years of Vanvas.

4. Allahabad (Prayag) - At this place Ram along with his wife and brother crossed the “river Ganga” from here to go “beyond their kingdom”.

5. Hampi.
