Mark is checking to see if n = 3 is a solution to the equation 9 = 5n - 6. His work is shown below. Mark concludes that since the two sides are not equal, then 3 is not a solution to the equation. Is Mark correct? Why or why not?

No! Mark is wrong!!!!! 3 is the answer of the equation 9=5n-6.

Since,

9+6=5n
15=5n
15/5=n
3=n

Hence, mark is wrong and n=3.
