(1) The base and height of a triangle is 9 and 5 respectively. The
base and height of another triangle is 10 and 6 respectively. Find the
ratio of the area of the first triangle to the area of the other triangle,

  • area of first triangle= 1/2(9×5)

45/2

  • area of second triangle=1/2(10×6) = 60/2
  • ratio will be (45/2)/(60/2)

= 45/2×2/60

=45/60 = 3/4
