Marks division in this question
(a) Explain with an example how the metal (X) which is low in reactivity series and metal (Y) which is high in the reactivity series are obtained from their compounds by reduction process.
(b) Write the electronic configurations of sodium and chlorine. Show the formation of sodium chloride from sodium and chlorine by the transfer of electrons.
(c) List any two observations when a highly reactive metal is dropped in water.

(A)  (1)     X is obtained by heating its ore and then by reduction process as its a low reactive element.                                                                                                  Eg: silver is obtained through its ore by heating only.

(2)    Y is obtained through electrolysis only as its a high reactive metal.            Eg: Soduim is extracted through electrolysis only.

(B) Na^+1  +   Cl^-1

NaCl ( both satisfy their electronic configuration and form an ionic bond)

(C) when a highly reactive metal is dropped in water a salt is formed and hydrogen gas is evolved .

Eg: 2Na+2H2O-------->2NaOH+H2

Mark it as brainliest.
