Mary had to do typing work of some pages for her project.So she share the work with three friends .She gave 1/4th to her first,1/3th to the 2nd and 1/5thto her third friend and types the remaining by herself.If she typed 65 pages,then how can we find the no. of pages types by her 1st friend?

first friend share =x/4
second friend share =x/3
remaining page self typed =65
x- x/4 -x/3=65
(12x-3x-4x)12=65
5x/12=65
x=65*12/5
x=13*12
x=156
therefore
total pages =x=156
first friend typed =x/4=156/4=39 pages
