mary has some boxes that are all cubes of the same size. she uses 5 of the boxes to make a tower with a height of 115cm. she puts 2 more boxes on the pile. What is the height of the 7 box tower, now? Give your answer in centimetres

Answer:

let the side length of each cube be x

5x=115     (since the 5 boxes are placed one above the other)

x=23

therefore for 7 boxes

7*23=161cm

Given Data : Mary make a tower of 5 same size Cube Boxes.

The height of 5 same size cube is 115 C.m.

To Find :

If Mary add 2 more cubes to the tower, then the height of the tower is :

Height of 5 Cubes is 115 c.m

Height of 1 Cube is 115/ 5 = 23 C.m

So,

the height of the 7 cubes tower is (23 × 7) = 161 C.m.
