TO DETERMINE

The amount tea Mary left

EVALUATION

Here the total amount of tea

= 16000 ml

= 16 litre

Now Mary served the tea divided equally in 8 pitchers

So each pitchers contains ( 16 ÷ 8 ) = 2 litres of tea

Now Her guests dranks 6 pitchers of tea.

So the total amount of tea dranks by her guests

= ( 2 × 6 ) litres

= 12 litres

Hence the amount tea Mary left

= ( 16 - 12 ) litres
