Dictionary : 3/4*x = $3x/4.

Balance amount = X-3x/4 = x/4 Dollars.

Calculator : 1/2 * x/4 = x/8.

Balance amount  = x/4-x/8 = x/8.

x/8 + (x/8+30) + x/8 = X.

3x/8 - X = -30,

5x/8 = 30,

X = 48.

Dictionary cost = 3x/4 = 3*48/4 =  36

Calculator cost x/8 = 48/8 =  6
